Our Oh So Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Veggie Boxes are designed with ingredients that are in season and are also designed to introduce you to new ingredients and new ways of preparing familiar ones. The star of this week’s box is the lima bean an excellent source protein. Sauteed in a pesto sauce and accompanied with boiled plantain, this box serves up a twist on traditional beans and plantain.
In this box you will find all the ingredients that will serve up two full portions of our Lima Beans in Pesto Sauce stir fry recipe recommendation. Ingredients have been measured, weighed, and for those we can, prepped in advance. Some ingredients cannot be prepped in advance such as the onions and spring onions. The box contains more of some ingredients than you may need, in particular salt.
